300 Seconds: Display Your Irish
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Do you have a great Irish display in your store?
A bookseller once shared with me that she meant to do research for a thoughtful St. Patrick’s Day display, but time got away from her. So on the morning of March 17, she searched her inventory for author surnames beginning with O’ and Mc. She placed some books on a front table and near the register, and at the end of the day she was shocked by how many of the books sold.
I’m not sure which is the greater lesson: a) It’s never too late, or b) Change those displays often; your customers are paying attention. Or perhaps it’s c) It will take about 300 Seconds to accomplish both a and b.
