300 Seconds: The things that go unnoticed.
During today’s 300 marketing seconds, we’re going to address the things that often go unnoticed… by ourselves, that is.
Even though it’s easy for us to overlook these things, you can bet that customers will not miss the burned-out light bulbs, the cob webs in the corners, and the dust on the base of that spinner rack.
Take 5 minutes to explore in nooks and crannies, move items that haven’t been shifted in a while, and don’t forget the lower shelves of those library tables. While you’re at it, if you have seating throughout the store, look for layers of dust on the stretchers between chair legs.
This almost feels like a thankless task, because once the light bulbs are replaced and the dust is removed, customers will no longer notice the things done right. But that’s better than the alternative, isn’t it?
