300 Seconds: A different perspective.

In other “300 Seconds” posts, I encourage you to walk through the door and look at your store as though you are a customer. Or look through the windows from their viewpoint. Today’s task is similar, but this time we’re taking on their viewpoint… literally.

I’m 5′ 5″. I have no idea how the world appears to a 6′ 4″ person. And I don’t recall how it appeared when I was 5 years old. But it doesn’t take much to find out.

To see the store from a taller perspective, find something to elevate yourself. Can you see the tops of your bookcases? Are they dusty?

Now squat down a look at your store from a lower level. Are there any dangers to alleviate?

Perception is reality for your customers. But you can’t change that perception until you understand it.
