The Full Moon at the Napping House
If bookselling were a statistics-keeping sport, I think my stats would show that I hand-sold more books by Audrey Wood and Don Wood than any author/illustrator. (Followed closely by Sarah Stewart and David Small.)
I read The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear to my girls so many times, they had it memorized and could “read” it to their fellow pre-schoolers. And there was something magical about watching a customers eyes light up with discovery as they paged through Piggies and The Napping House.
In this video, Audrey and Don Wood talk about how a real napping house played a role in their lives when their son was young, and also, the how they came up with the idea for their new book, The Full Moon at the Napping House, which is scheduled to be published on September 1, 2015.
