Handselling “Under the Egg”
A new book for middle readers was released this week, and I think it is fantastic for handselling. Under the Egg by Laura Marx Fitzgerald is part mystery, part art history, and a touch of erudition. It’s been compared to From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and Chasing Vermeer, and is perfect for readers 8 to 12 years old who are looking for a challenge.
