My Infatuation With Oliver Jeffers

My Infatuation With Oliver Jeffers

I still have Issue 14 of Uppercase magazine from 2012, featuring an interview with Oliver Jeffers. The photos of Jeffers’s studio by Jen Causey were so fantastic, I had to keep it. I loved discovering that what I assumed was a font was truly his handwriting, and I loved the large chalkboard with those handwritten lists.

And then in 2013, Uppercase featured this video: Oliver Jeffers on Process which was directed, shot and edited by Mac Premo.

And in anticipation of today’s release of Once Upon an Alphabethe was interviewed on All Things Considered, Jeffers told NPR’s Robert Siegel, “The beautiful thing about a picture book is that reading it aloud only presents half of the story. The other half is displayed in the pictures.”

Any of these would make great content to share. Not that you need any ammunition to help sell Oliver Jeffers. But there you have it.
