Video: The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace

Listening to authors talk about their books is one of the best handselling tools a bookseller can use. Hobbs was on the Adult Author Buzz Panel at BEA this year. If you didn’t have a chance to hear him speak, here another opportunity.

In this new video, author Jeff Hobbs talks about his college roommate and the subject of his book, The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace: A Brilliant Young Man Who Left Newark for the Ivy League.

The book is scheduled for release on September 23. It’s described as “A heartfelt, and riveting biography of the short life of a talented young African-American man who escapes the slums of Newark for Yale University only to succumb to the dangers of the streets—and of one’s own nature—when he returns home.”
