Honestly, this isn’t the ‘300 Seconds’ tip I had planned on posting today. But shortly after my day began, so too did the downward spiral.
The to-do list is virtually intact. Unexpected meetings lasted longer than promised. Exits were missed by 2 miles. (Yep. 2 miles. Who does that?)
But just because I’m having a day, that doesn’t mean I need announce it to the world though my actions, tone, or attitude.
If you’re having a day, don’t take it out on your customers. Remember to pause before you pick up the phone, compose yourself, smile, and then answer. The caller will be able to hear the smile in your voice, and you might just make their day better because of it.
