I stumbled upon an ad campaign for Norway-based Norlis Bookstore which uses book covers positioned just so to form messages. The Unplug with a book series of four posters spell out messages like “Hashtag Hell” (shown above) as well as “Facebook Addict”, “Instagram Junky”, and “Angry Birds Overload!” (shown below.) The ads were created by Anti, an agency also based in Norway.
I like the messages and the clever use of books as type. And while you can’t steal these images, you can borrow the idea and create your own series and tailor a message to fit your store, event, or reading campaign. Your shelves are full of possibilities. Your message is within reach.
