Booklovers Breakfast

Booklovers Breakfast

Last month, R.J. Julia Booksellers is Madison, CT, hosted a Booklovers Breakfast for their Booklovers Club.

In an email sent to club members, they wrote:

The saying really is true, “we would be nothing without you!” To thank you for being a loyal member of our Booklovers Club, we’ve put together a morning of personal shopping and a light breakfast for you to enjoy before the store officially opens.

Booklovers-Breakfast-1-500The store manager, head book buyer, and other booksellers were on hand to chat about books. And members were invited to browse the ARCs and take book cover posters with them.

The bookstore requested reservations, and members were allowed to invite guests. If a guest turned into a member, then the inviting member was entered into a raffle drawing for a gift card.

Here’s how their Booklovers Bookclub works:

  • Members pay $25 annually to belong to this loyalty club.
  • They receive a 20% discount on their first books purchased at sign-up and a continued 10% savings after that.
  • In addition to two 20%-off storewide sales each year, they host this Booklovers Breakfast as an appreciation event for the members.
