The rain also reminded me of this site I stumbled upon this week:

Located throughout Seattle, Rainworks are positive messages and art that appear when it rains. Their sole purpose is to make people smile on rainy days.

I love the hopscotch. And as soon as I get my own bottle of superhydrophobic coating, I’m going to find an appropriate light pole and channel my inner Gene Kelly.

If my Facebook feed is any indication, adults like to use coloring books. Earlier this week, NPR’s Audie Cornish spoke with Johanna Basford about her coloring books created for adults. Her latest, Enchanted Forest: An Inky Quest & Coloring Book, was released last month.

Yesterday, Random House Publishing Group released this video announcing the “only official A Song of Ice and Fire / A Game of Thrones app from George R.R. Martin.” It features hundreds of detailed character bios, interactive maps, and anti-spoiler protection.
