Infographic: How long will it take to read?
For busy people, sometimes deciding whether or not we tackle a book depends on how much of a time investment is required. The folks at a blog called Personal Creations eliminated some of the guess work by creating this infographic.
We took some of the most popular books of all time and estimated how long it would take the average reader to finish by multiplying word count by the average person’s reading speed, 300 words per minute, which will give you an approximate gauge of how long it will take [to read] any of the following great books.
The creators admit that heft and difficulty are caveats, so they don’t expect anyone to set their watches by this guide. It’s just a fun (and sharable) graphic to consider.
