IndiesFirst Movement Planning

The ABA recently published a piece titled, “Time to Get Organized: The Indies First Movement Expands,” which you can read here.

If you plan to participate with an Indies First event on Small Business Saturday, you should visit this page on the ABA’s website outlining tips, timelines, and steps to take between now and November 29, 2014.

Last week, Indies First marketing collateral became available to ABA member stores through BookWeb’s Designs & Downloads. The materials include designs for posters, window clings, web banners, and table display tent cards.

If you are an ABA member store, but you do not have an author nearby, you can “consult the Indies First Author and Illustrator Index for a list of creatives who would love to participate, and then reach out directly.” To find the index, log into BookWeb with your ABA username/password, and click on “Stores: View Author/Illustrator Info” in the QuickLinks.
