Meet Hemingway: The World’s Most Handsome Bookstore Turtle
We’re meeting bookstore pets around the world, and Stonecrest Book & Toy in Osage Beach, MO, has Hemingway, the World’s Most Handsome Bookstore Turtle.
“He is a red-eared slider that was rescued from the storm drain behind the mall 7 years ago,” says bookstore manager Carmen Perry. “He is very friendly, very popular, and very spoiled.”
Hemingway has a strong presence on the store’s Facebook page. In fact, they just celebrated Hemingway’s birthday on Monday by re-sharing a Facebook memory.
