Prepare for an Invasion
This week marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles arrival in the United States. The group landed in New York City on February 7, and they performed on “The Ed Sullivan Show” on Februrary 9. You might as well have some fun and utilize an additional sensory handselling tool by playing some of your favorite music from The Beatles this week. It doesn’t have to be loud, nor does it have to come through your store’s sound system. Playing 45s on an old portable record player might be a perfect center piece for your anniversary display. If you break into song or dance, be sure to post it on Facebook. (Yeah, your customers will enjoy it… but I want to see it, too!)
