Put Facebook Scheduler to Work
Do you have an album of days-gone-by images of your bookstore? Have you been religiously posting them weekly as #throwbackthursday images? The next time you’re ready to post, work a little ahead using the Facebook scheduler feature.
Here’s how it works:
- Upload your image and prepare your post as if you’re going to share it right now.
- Instead of pressing the “post” button, click on the clock icon in the lower left hand corner of the post.
- Choose the date (up to 6 months out) and the time you’d like the post to hit your timeline.
- Repeat as necessary.
As I mentioned, this is great for scheduling weekly images, such as #throwbackthursday. Or if your Facebook time is limited to 30 minutes in the morning, but you want to spread your reach throughout the day, schedule the posts to appear on your timeline over the course of a day/week/month, etc. This proves especially useful when you create a bookstore event. While the event details are still fresh in your mind, take a few extra minutes to create and schedule event reminder posts.
Posts can be scheduled for up to 6 months, and the soonest you can schedule a post is 10 minutes after you’ve created it. The post scheduler is only available through Facebook pages, not for individual profiles.
