Quick & Dirty Results: Award-Winners?

A recent Quick & Dirty Survey asked: Do you anything special to promote award-winning titles? If yes, what?

70% of respondents said YES

30% said NO

Of those who said yes…

  • several mentioned an in-store display
  • some place bookmarks or tags in the books to identify the prize won
  • some create their own shelf-talkers
  • some stores create special sections specifically for award-winners
  • a few feature the winning titles on their website and on Facebook

And one store tried something new. They wrote: “All of the NBA fiction finalists happen to be staff picks, so we are hosting a contest where customers vote for the winner and those whose pick ends up winning are entered into a drawing for prizes.”
