Tenth of December Display

Tenth of December Display

I’m going to give The Book Table another shout-out. (It’s the right thing to do given the fact that last week I did not correctly identify their city as Oak Park, Illinois.)

Colin McDonald and Patrick Battle came up with a window idea: a George Saunders display, in honor of Tenth of December: Stories.

On Wednesday, they placed several copies of Tenth of December: Stories in a window with a sign that read:

Happy tenth of December! Today only:

  1. Select and purchase a copy of Tenth of December: Stories by George Saunders from our window display (while supplies last.)
  2. Three lucky readers will find in their books a gift card to The Book Table for $10.12.
  3. Everyone else will still get to read or give (or both!) one of the best books of all time.
  4. That’s it. Hurry! Buy a book!

The books had numbers in them, so customers selected a book by number instead of by touch.
