The Oxford Comma

Do we feel strongly about the Oxford comma? Yes, yes, and yes. Here are some of my favorite responses:

  • What are we animals? Of course the Oxford comma.
  • Hell, YES!!! 🙂
  • In books, yes. In magazines and newspapers, no. In any place where its use can clarify meaning, yes.
  • Yes unless you are referring to that song.
  • Absolutely, positively, and definitively.
  • Yes, dammit!
  • Absolutely, unequivocally, indubitably YES!
  • No, except when it makes sense to help clarify, differentiate, or otherwise set apart.

The Oxford comma:

YES – 81%

NO – 19%
