When to use JPEG, GIF & PNG

Sometimes when I’m talking about sharing photos socially, I tell you to save them as a .PNG if there are words involved. Or I might indicate that an animated ad is a .GIF. But I don’t think I’ve ever fully explained why.

Well, now I don’t have to.
