Restroom Tour: “You’ve got to come in and see this.”
Remember when we started talking about bookstores restrooms last month? I asked if any of you were particularly proud of the restrooms in your stores, and it turns out that several of you are! Throughout the week, we’ll be taking a tour of some pretty fantastic bookstore restrooms.
We begin the tour in St. Louis, Missouri, at The Novel Neighbor, where people often exit the restroom and exclaim to their friend, “You have got to come in and see this.”
“We have a very colorful store but the bathroom had an odd faux wall and strange half tile and carpet which left us perplexed,” says Holland Saltsman, owner of the store. “Until a friend of mine had the genius idea to paper the walls with some classic old books we had that were falling apart.”
The “slide show” view of the book/wallpaper treatment at The Novel Neighbor at the top of this post tends to cut off images, so I’ve also include the full images below.
